The African Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) recently conducted the E-MOTIVE Bundle State Training of Trainers (ToT) on the 23rd and 24th of October, bringing together healthcare professionals dedicated to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes.

Samira Gwarzo, an Associate Research Fellow at the African Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP), joined other public health experts in presenting abstracts at the 2025 International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) held in Durban, South Africa. Speaking under the theme “Moving Towards Self-Reliance to Achieve Universal Health Coverage and Health Security in Africa,” she presented her research on “Genomic Markers of Malaria Resistance,” which examines genetic factors influencing malaria resistance in African populations.

The African Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) has celebrated the dedicated team of professionals who contributed immensely to the success of the IVON PP Trial project. Speaking on behalf of the entire team, Dr. Sule Abdullahi Gaya expressed deep appreciation to all staff members whose commitment, resilience, and teamwork made the trial a remarkable achievement.
